Lily Allen's £5m Property Hunt in Notting Hill After Chart Success
Lily Allen's £5m Notting Hill Property Hunt Post-Split

Chart-topping singer Lily Allen is reportedly ready to invest a fortune in a new London home, with a budget of up to £5 million, following the major success of her recent album and tour. The 40-year-old artist is focusing her search on the upmarket areas of Notting Hill, where she once lived, and the celebrity-favoured Primrose Hill.

From Council Flat to Multi-Million Pound Mansions

This ambitious property hunt marks a fresh start for Allen following her split from actor David Harbour. A source revealed, ‘Lily is flashing the cash and she wants to find the perfect home. She is starting afresh after her split and wants the right property for herself and her two daughters.’ The move is funded by the impressive earnings from her album ‘West End Girls,’ which peaked at number two, and her completely sold-out UK tour.

As part of this new chapter, friends say Allen plans to rent out her former council flat in West London, which she purchased last year as her marriage began to deteriorate. She has already moved out of the Brooklyn brownstone townhouse she shared with the Stranger Things star.

A Battle with 'Eye-Watering' Spending Habits

The house search coincides with what has been described as ‘eye-watering self-indulgence’ from the singer, a habit she has openly struggled to control. Last month, Allen confessed to ‘shopping like an insane person’ and disclosed she is receiving treatment for a spending addiction.

Among her recent high-value purchases are a £120,000 Porsche sports car and a £16,500 Hermès handbag, which she was later spotted carrying in East London. She told fans, ‘I'm convinced I'm a billionaire. Handbags have been bought, jewels and a car has been bought.’ Allen has been undergoing Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy for the past four months to address the issue.

Lavish Lifestyle Contrasts with Past Financial Woes

Despite the therapy, Allen continued her lavish spending with a luxury Christmas holiday in the Cayman Islands. She was joined by her two daughters, Ethel, 13, and Marnie, 12, from her first marriage to Sam Cooper, as well as friends including influencer Dylan Mulvaney and actor Joe Locke. The holiday featured a £300-per-hour pink Jet Car for cruising the islands.

This current financial freedom stands in stark contrast to her situation in 2016. Back then, Allen was forced to sell her beloved £4.2 million Cotswolds home, which she called her ‘house of dreams,’ after being sued for an ‘extremely large amount of money’ by a former tour manager. She explained on her podcast that a tax bill forced the sale after HMRC refused a repayment plan, devastating her plans to raise her children there.

Now, with significant capital from her musical comeback, Lily Allen is firmly focused on securing a prestigious London base that matches her revived status as a West End Girl.
