Celeste Barber Unveils Chic Gold Coast Bachelorette Pad Post-Split
Celeste Barber's Gold Coast Bachelorette Pad Revealed

Australian comedian Celeste Barber, aged 43, is wholeheartedly embracing her new single life, and she has proudly unveiled her chic and luxurious bachelorette pad on the Gold Coast in the latest issue of Marie Claire Australia magazine. Following her split from husband Api Robin, Barber purchased this modernist property, which has been transformed into a personal sanctuary by upmarket interior designer Dominee Gessner.

A Sanctuary Inspired by Luxury Hotels

Gessner revealed to Marie Claire that the concept for the home is an edgy, luxury hotel, drawing inspiration from two of Celeste's favourite establishments: the iconic Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles and the stylish Madame Reve Hotel in Paris. The space is enriched with warm, rich comfort colours and autumnal elements, creating a comforting and inviting atmosphere.

Mood Lighting and Retro Vibes

The property benefits from abundant natural sunlight, but it is also mood-lit by striking bright pink pendant lights. Celeste explained to the publication, "I need some mood lighting – it's my ADHD." The retro, Hollywood vibe is further enhanced by blue walls, a mustard couch, and carefully selected 1970s furniture. In a practical yet quirky touch, the kitchen features two dishwashers, allowing the performer to wash her glasses and dishes separately.

Unique Design Elements

Celeste admitted that the stoneware in her kitchen is inspired by a vulva, adding a bold and personal touch. She said, "I put in a request to get the pinkest possible part of the stone that I could. And then where it joins above the oven, it looks like a vulva, which I love to remind my teenage boys at breakfast." The bathroom is designed to resemble a 'sexy lab' and is very well lit, as Barber frequently films social media content in this room. She noted, "I'm 43 and we all need good lighting."

Rebuilding Life After Separation

Celeste is in the process of rebuilding her life after her separation from Api Robin, whom she often referred to as her 'hot husband.' Api confirmed the couple's decision to end their marriage after 20 years together in an Instagram post captioned 'Heavy hearts,' shared a day before Valentine's Day. He wrote, "The past few months have been incredibly challenging and deeply heartbreaking for us both. After much reflection, the decision has been made to separate. There is still love and respect between us, but sadly we are at capacity and have come to recognise we may want different things."

Focus on Family and Privacy

Api continued, "Our priority remains our children and their wellbeing. We kindly ask for privacy and understanding as we navigate this." While many were surprised by the breakdown of their seemingly strong marriage, a closer look at their online presence and previous interviews suggests there had been signs of trouble for years, with the pair notably absent from each other's social media feeds leading up to their split. The couple shares two sons, Lou Robin and Buddy Robin, and Api has two daughters from a previous marriage.

This new chapter for Celeste Barber is marked by her stylish Gold Coast home, which serves as both a personal retreat and a creative space, reflecting her vibrant personality and resilience as she moves forward independently.
