Reality TV star Katie Price and her former partner, Married At First Sight contestant JJ Slater, have officially called time on their relationship, with both taking distinct steps on social media in the wake of their break-up.
Social Media Clean-Up and a Festive Gathering
JJ Slater has removed every photograph of himself with Katie Price from his Instagram account, effectively erasing the visual history of their romance from the platform. Despite this digital purge, the pair continue to follow each other on the social media site.
Intriguingly, Price, a mother-of-five, was pictured spending Boxing Day with JJ Slater's family. A group photo showed them both smiling and appearing comfortable, while another snap depicted a relaxed JJ sharing a meal with Katie's 23-year-old son, Harvey. These festive images marked their first joint appearance on social media in six months, since celebrations for JJ's birthday.
Katie Price's Candid Podcast Confession
On the latest episode of her podcast, The Katie Price Show, titled 'The Truth Behind The Split', Katie confirmed the separation. She disclosed to her sister Sophie that the relationship had been "over months" before Christmas.
"I don't wanna waste my time," Price stated. "You know, if I'm not loved up and it's not going, these are mistakes I've made in the past. You stay, just go along, and then it ends up getting nasty. Yeah. And I don't want that. So I'd rather have nipped it in the bud sooner rather than later."
She elaborated on her feelings, saying, "Me and JJ, our relationship for months wasn't right but he's such a nice guy. I cannot fault him in any way possible... I love the guy but I'm not in love with him and what's the point in carrying on the relationship?" Price dismissed rumours that the split was due to her refusing to marry him or have a baby, calling such claims "a load of rubbish".
JJ's Post-Split Focus on Fitness
While Katie has removed traces of JJ from her own social media, JJ Slater has channelled his energy into fitness. In a candid video posted from his car after a workout earlier this week, he revealed he has lost 2.8kg in just ten days with the help of an online coach, Kieran from Konditioning Coaching.
"He holds me accountable, he sorts out my nutrition, sorts out my workouts, makes sure I'm doing my steps, my cardio," JJ explained. He expressed enthusiasm about sharing his fitness journey with his followers, suggesting it might inspire others to consider an online coach.
The pair began their romance in late 2023, following Price's split from ex-fiancé Carl Woods. It is reported that Price initially reached out to Slater after his appearance on the E4 show, though he had messaged her years earlier to compliment her looks.
