Katie Price Defends Whirlwind Marriage After Son's Question

Katie Price Addresses Son's Concerns Over Rapid Marriage to Lee Andrews

Katie Price has publicly addressed the intense scrutiny surrounding her whirlwind marriage to Lee Andrews, revealing that her son, Junior Andre, has joined the chorus of voices questioning her decision. The former glamour model, 47, tied the knot with Andrews after a remarkably brief courtship, sparking widespread speculation and concern among her family and fans.

Shotgun Wedding Sparks Family Questions

The controversy began earlier this year when Price shocked friends and family by announcing her engagement to Andrews, a man she had met on Instagram just days before. Without consulting her relatives, she flew to Dubai where the couple became engaged, followed by a wedding ceremony just two days later and a legal marriage several days after that.

During the latest episode of her podcast, The Katie Price Show, Price disclosed that her 20-year-old son Junior had directly questioned her about the rapid nature of her marriage. "I was talking today to Junior and he said, 'Mum, why did you get married so quick?'" Price revealed. Her response drew an unusual comparison to reality television, stating: "I said Junior, there's a show called Love is Blind where they get to know each other but don't know what they look like and marry them. No one moans about that concept."

Dubai Move Rumours Forcefully Denied

Price also took the opportunity to angrily correct persistent rumours that she plans to relocate to Dubai with her new husband. "I've got five children, I'm not going to just get up and move to Dubai," the mother of five insisted. "I want to get to know Lee more before anything. There's no rush. I don't know why people are so invested. It's nobody's business. I live in West Sussex and that is it."

Her sister Sophie pointed out that the rumours likely stemmed from Price's own public statements about purchasing property in Dubai with Andrews. Price countered: "It's true but it doesn't mean to say I'm there all the time."

Questions Surround Andrews' Background

The marriage has faced additional scrutiny due to questions about Andrews' background and claims. Andrews describes himself as a millionaire and has stated he worked for both the Labour Party and The King's Trust (formerly The Prince's Trust). However, investigations have revealed that neither organisation has any record of Andrews' involvement.

Adding to the controversy, Andrews recently made the bold claim that he is preparing a bid to purchase Chelsea Football Club. The Premier League team is currently owned by consortium BlueCo, led by American businessman Todd Boehly, who purchased the club in 2022 for approximately £4.25 billion.

Andrews told The Sun: "There's a bit of a verification process, and I'll only obtain 55 per cent, obviously, for quite a large amount. I can't tell you all the workings and inner parts to my wealth but definitely the money is there. And they have to accept, and they have to verify, but it will be going in."

Despite these claims, there is no evidence to suggest Andrews will actually purchase the football club, which currently sits sixth in the Premier League standings. The relationship continues to generate significant public interest and debate as Price navigates this new chapter in her personal life while addressing concerns from those closest to her.
