Influencer Lorna Luxe has shared a heartfelt tribute to her late husband, John Andrews, while offering a glimpse into her luxurious new temporary residence. The 43-year-old, who lost her husband to stage four adrenal cancer in February at age 64, moved into the stylish abode as renovations continue on the couple's £2.5 million home, famously known as Ghost House.
A Minimalist Haven with Emotional Connections
Lorna revealed that John would have adored the minimalist property, which features sleek glass walls and chic furnishings. She noted that the same architectural team, BPN Architects, who designed the couple's Warwickshire mansion, also crafted this temporary home, giving it a familiar and comforting feel. Settling in with her beloved dog, Kev-Bear, Lorna expressed that the move has been stressful but ultimately rewarding.
Instagram Insights and Personal Reflections
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Lorna admitted, "John would love it, because he loved this house. It was designed by the same guy who designed our Ghost House so it's got that nice feel about it." She described the disorienting experience of moving with just a suitcase of clothes, a corkscrew, and a kettle, but emphasized that John would be proud of her resilience in finding a better temporary home for herself and Kev-Bear.
The couple had previously moved out of their £2.5 million home in 2025 for extensive renovations, forcing Lorna to relocate once again. In a heartfelt post, she explained, "I hadn't anticipated having to move out of our last place so this has all been a bit stressful but you know what, John would be so proud that I pulled it off."
Life After Loss: Children and Career Choices
Following John's tragic death, Lorna has opened up about considering having children. In her first interview since his passing, she reflected on their decision not to have children, revealing that they tried when she was 26 but focused on her career when pregnancy didn't occur. She shared, "Over the past couple of years I'd say, 'Do you think we should have done something about that? Shall we go and get me checked out?' But then John got ill."
Lorna added that she doesn't dwell on what might have been but recently inquired about freezing her eggs. She told The Times, "I've always been part of a partnership; now I've got these big decisions to make alone."
John's Battle with Cancer and Final Moments
John was originally diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in 2023. After a period of remission, the cancer returned in 2024, spreading to his brain. The millionaire banker was rushed to hospital with organ failure due to chemotherapy complications and fell ill with sepsis shortly before Christmas. Lorna was told to prepare for the worst, but he returned home in time for Christmas Day before passing away on February 11.
Returning to Ghost House: A Bittersweet Journey
Last month, Lorna struggled to hold back tears while preparing to revisit the sprawling Warwickshire home she shared with John. She described the prospect as bittersweet, writing on social media, "I'm having to be John today and head to Ghost House for the quarterly site progress meeting." She added that they were both excited to return, making the visit emotionally challenging.
In a follow-up post, she outlined plans for the site visit, noting that renovations are months over the planned six-month timeframe. Lorna said, "I've been told it's going to be August that I get the house back, so it'll have been a year since John and I moved out. It's meant to be six months, so massively over the time frame, but I think I'm going to get a house back that I'm really happy with."
She expressed missing the home and uncertainty about the coming months, but her game plan is to move back in August. This temporary home serves as a poignant reminder of her late husband's legacy and her journey forward.
