Kelvin Fletcher's Festive Farm Transformation Revealed on Lorraine
Kelvin Fletcher unveils Christmas farm transformation

Former Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher and his wife Liz have given fans a festive glimpse into the major Christmas transformation underway at their family farm.

Festive Plans for a Peak District Wonderland

Appearing in a pre-recorded segment on ITV's Lorraine on Friday, December 19, the couple opened up about their busy holiday schedule at their 120-acre farm in the Peak District. With Christmas fast approaching, they revealed ambitious plans to decorate the entire property.

"Christmas is around the corner and we've got a lot to do. We have to decorate the entire farm for a magical Christmas at the farm," Liz Fletcher explained. Kelvin added, "It always starts with me and Liz bringing our ideas to life, so yeah, we've got quite a busy few weeks coming up."

Creative DIY and Family Involvement

The couple's preparations began with a hands-on DIY project, repurposing an old wooden pallet into a welcoming Christmas sign. Kelvin took charge of painting the lettering in black, humorously noting, "If it's bad, I'm going to say the kids have done it!"

Liz joked about her husband's newfound dedication, recalling, "When I met Kelvin, he was a proper lad's lad. Drinking beers out with the rugby lads. Look at him now, taking painting a pallet really seriously." She also described the activity as "really therapeutic" and praised Kelvin for always wanting to get involved.

Preparing for a Christmas Spectacular

The main focus of their efforts is a major upcoming Christmas event at the farm. The Fletchers are preparing "tonnes of decorations" to create a winter wonderland experience for visitors.

"We've got a Christmas event coming up soon, so I think it's going to be quite key for that," Kelvin said. "And then we're going to transform the whole farm into a winter farm wonderland, if you like. There will be fairy lights galore and snowmen, it'll feel very Christmassy."

Liz admitted the scale of the task, stating, "We got a tonne to decorate and it feels like we've not even started." The segment also showed Liz crafting a stunning front door wreath from foraged holly, Christmas tree stems, and baubles.

A Family-Focused Celebration

For Liz, the true meaning of the season lies in family gatherings. "My favourite thing about Christmas is it's the only time that you'll get your brothers, the wives, the cousins, the aunties all together," she shared. "You'll have tables at all different heights... But you're all there, and that's what I love. I love seeing all the children together with their cousins, that's what's special."

Fans eager for more festive content from the Fletcher family can stream a special programme titled Fletchers' Country Workshop on ITVX. The special features Liz showcasing her passion for upcycling and crafting just in time for Christmas Day.

Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV1 at 9am, and Fletchers' Family Farm is available to stream on ITVX.
