Family of BBL Victim Speak Out After Death of 'Lip King' Jordan Parke
The family of Alice Webb, a 33-year-old mother-of-five who tragically died following a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedure in September 2024, have broken their silence after the recent death of beautician Jordan Parke, known as 'The Lip King'. Parke, 34, was found deceased in a Canary Wharf hotel last Wednesday, with police suspecting his death may be linked to a cosmetic procedure while he was on bail concerning Alice's case.
Mixed Emotions and a Continued Fight for Justice
Speaking to ITV, Alice's sister, April, expressed the family's complex feelings, stating they have "mixed emotions" following Parke's death as they will "never see him face trial." She emphasised that while this development is painful, it reinforces their commitment to campaigning for stricter regulations in the cosmetic surgery industry to prevent similar tragedies.
"Our fight for justice for Alice continues," April declared. "We remain dedicated to advocating for meaningful change and honouring Alice's memory by pushing for enhanced safety measures." Alice Webb was the first woman in the UK to die from a BBL procedure, leaving behind five children.
Police Investigation and Arrests
In response to Jordan Parke's death, the Metropolitan Police have arrested a 43-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman on suspicion of manslaughter. Both individuals have been bailed pending further investigation. Parke had been arrested previously in connection with Alice's death but was never charged with any offence.
Police are treating Parke's death as unexplained and are investigating whether he underwent a cosmetic procedure prior to his death. A post-mortem examination is awaited to determine the exact circumstances.
Background and Tributes
Jordan Parke, a beautician from the West Midlands who appeared twice on the TV show Botched, was due to answer bail next month. His family have described themselves as "numb, shocked, and heartbroken" in social media tributes.
The case has sparked renewed calls for legal changes in the cosmetic surgery sector, highlighting the risks associated with procedures like BBLs. Alice's family's campaign aims to ensure that stricter regulations are implemented to protect future patients from similar fates.
