Bethany Peaty Opens Up on Family Feud with Ramsays
Bethany Peaty, the sister of Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty, has publicly addressed the ongoing feud between her family and the Ramsays, describing it as a "very difficult" situation. In an exclusive interview, Bethany, 32, revealed that she feels "caught right in the middle of the row" but has reconciled with her mother for the sake of her children.
Wedding Attendance Amid Family Strife
Bethany was the sole member of Adam Peaty's immediate family to attend his wedding to Holly Ramsay, daughter of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, in December last year. While Adam's parents, Caroline and Mark, and his brothers, James and Richard, were absent, Bethany participated as part of the bridal party. She expressed sadness over Adam's decision to ban their mother from the ceremony, noting the "different world" the Ramsays inhabit, which she found welcoming.
Family Tensions Escalate
The feud reportedly began at the engagement party in 2024 when Caroline clashed with Gordon Ramsay after several family members were not invited. Later, Caroline was excluded from Holly's hen do, leading to a scathing message from her sister Louise, which resulted in Caroline being officially uninvited from the wedding. Recently, Adam did not publicly acknowledge Caroline on Mothering Sunday, further straining relations.
Broader Family Reactions
Adam's aunt has criticized his "toadying behaviour" for calling Gordon Ramsay "dad," arguing it disrespects his biological father, who supported his swimming career through hard labor. Meanwhile, Bethany, who is engaged to Daniel Rogerson, 37, has no plans for a wedding on the "Ramsay scale" and remains uncertain about her own marriage date.
This ongoing conflict highlights the complexities of blending families in the public eye, with Bethany navigating her loyalty between her brother and the rest of her family.
