Nico O'Reilly: Man City Title Race Will Go Down to Wire Against Arsenal
O'Reilly Expects Title Race to Go to the Wire

Nico O'Reilly expects the Premier League title race to go down to the wire as Manchester City continue their pursuit of league leaders Arsenal. City currently trail Mikel Arteta's side by six points but hold two games in hand, meaning a victory at Everton on Monday is crucial to maintain pressure on the Gunners.

Momentum Building

Three consecutive wins, including a vital triumph over Arsenal, have given City significant momentum, and the squad is determined to sustain that form. O'Reilly, who has impressed in both left-back and midfield roles this season, expressed confidence in the team's ability to challenge until the very end.

"We're confident in ourselves. There are still a few games to go and it could go down to the last game," O'Reilly stated. "We're going to try and win every game and score as much as we can. We're going into every game trying to put a good performance in and win."

Focus on the Task

City briefly moved top of the table on goals scored after beating Burnley, but FA Cup commitments and league scheduling have allowed Arsenal to regain the lead. Despite the Gunners holding the advantage in points, O'Reilly insists City's approach remains unchanged.

"I'm feeling good and positive and ready for the last few weeks. Everyone is feeling good and we're excited for the last few weeks of the season," the 21-year-old added.

Rising Star

O'Reilly has been one of the standout performers for City this campaign, initially establishing himself in defence before being given opportunities in his natural midfield role. His form has made him a leading contender for young player of the year awards and likely earned him a place in England's World Cup squad.

"It would be a great achievement but there are still a few games to go and we'll see what happens," O'Reilly commented. "I just need to knuckle down and keep working hard. With all the games and how intense it is, I don't think there's much time to reflect yet. I think that's when we have time off."
