Fresh humiliation has engulfed Prince Andrew as newly released emails expose astonishing details about his nine-day stay at Jeffrey Epstein's New York mansion in 2010. The correspondence directly contradicts Andrew's previous claims that he visited solely to sever ties with the convicted sex offender in person.
Contradictory Claims Unravel
Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, the former Duke of York, had maintained for years that his 2010 transatlantic journey represented a principled effort to formally end his association with Epstein. In his controversial 2019 BBC interview with Emily Maitlis, Andrew asserted that terminating the friendship required a face-to-face meeting rather than what he termed "the chicken's way" of a telephone call. He described the mansion stay as merely "convenient" while conducting other business in New York and denied being guest of honor at any celebration of Epstein's release.
Nine-Day Visit Documented
The newly publicized emails from the Epstein files reveal a starkly different narrative. Correspondence indicates Andrew remained at the Manhattan property for nine consecutive days, during which Epstein arranged various amenities including a personal driver and even organized facial treatments for his royal guest. One particularly damning email from Epstein to a billionaire businessman boasted: "Andrew in ny with me for week . Great insights."
Financial records released alongside the emails show Epstein spent nearly $150,000 on the day of Andrew's arrival, including substantial payments to construction companies and a $9,000 transfer to a redacted account marked "promissory." Epstein also instructed his accountant to provide "Veronika" with "9k and a loan agreement" that same day.
Social Engagements and Disturbing References
Throughout the documented visit, Epstein's correspondence references multiple social engagements involving Andrew. The disgraced financier extended invitations to various contacts to meet the visiting prince, including one email stating: "Prince Andrew is staying wiht [sic] me in New york this week, Im sure he would enjoy meeting you."
Disturbingly, the emails contain multiple references to young women visiting the property. One message reads: "girls came after school," while another states: "Hi Jeffrey I'm working and school tomorrow, Wed I can come between 4 and 6.30." The correspondence also includes Epstein asking someone: "what is your bra and panty size dear?" on the same day Andrew arrived.
The Celebrity Dinner Party
Emails from December 1st and 2nd detail preparations for what appears to be the dinner party Andrew previously downplayed as "small." The guest list discussions included celebrities like Katie Couric, Woody Allen and Soon-Yi Previn, Mick Jagger (who declined), and potential attendees David Blaine and Charlie Rose. Publicist Peggy Seigal grew increasingly anxious about event details, sending emails with subject lines like "Peggy is having a nervous breakdown" regarding table decorations.
One email specifically addressed seating arrangements: "Peggy thinks you should do place cards so the Duke does not get stuck sitting next to someone who is boring. Peggy thinks he should for sure sit next to Katie Couric."
Business Discussions During Visit
Contrary to Andrew's assertion that he was there solely to end the friendship, emails show he forwarded official correspondence from Buckingham Palace about his trade envoy work to Epstein. This included "Whitehall reports from his recent trip to China, Vietnam and Singapore." Andrew also solicited Epstein's help with business ventures, asking if his host knew anyone interested in investing in a fuel distribution company.
The emails further reveal discussions about "opportunities in Africa" and Epstein's offer to pay travel documents and flights for a model experiencing visa issues.
Extended Stay Evidence
Andrew claimed he only saw Epstein three times during his visit and departed on December 6th. However, emails indicate his stay extended through December 7th. On what Andrew identified as his departure day, Peggy Seigal wrote: "It's Andrew's last night. Want to come or help?" suggesting he remained through the evening.
Financial records show Epstein transferred $500 for "gifts" and instructed his accountant to "send another 500 euros to emily" during Andrew's stay. Another email references someone being "given $5000 which came from Bella" with the money placed in Epstein's "black bag."
Post-Visit Communication
Perhaps most damaging to Andrew's narrative are emails showing continued friendly correspondence after his supposed friendship termination. Just weeks after returning to Britain, Andrew sent Epstein a York Family Christmas Card accompanied by an email reading: "Dear J, Wishing you a wonderful Christmas and spectacular entry into 2011. It was great to spend time with my US family. Looking forward to joining you all again soon. A."
This warm communication starkly contrasts with Andrew's public claims of having definitively ended the relationship during his New York visit. The former prince has not commented on these latest revelations but has previously strongly denied any wrongdoing regarding his association with Epstein.
The email release provides the most detailed timeline yet of Andrew's extended stay at Epstein's mansion, raising serious questions about the accuracy of his previous accounts and the true nature of their relationship during this period.
