Bill Clinton Seen in Jacuzzi with Jeffrey Epstein in Newly Released DOJ Files
Clinton in Epstein Files: Jacuzzi Photo Released by DOJ

Thousands of new documents from the investigation into disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein have been made public, revealing a photograph of former US President Bill Clinton reclining in a jacuzzi with his arms around the convicted sex offender.

Clinton Photographs Emerge in Epstein Document Dump

The US Department of Justice began publishing the trove of files, labelled the "Epstein Library", on its website at approximately 9pm GMT on Friday, 19 December 2025. Among the initial release is an image showing Bill Clinton smiling with his arms around Jeffrey Epstein and another, unidentified man.

A separate photograph depicts the former president laying back in a jacuzzi. The precise time and location where these pictures were taken remain unknown. It is crucial to note that being mentioned or pictured in these files does not imply any wrongdoing, and there is no suggestion that Mr Clinton was involved in or had knowledge of illegal activities.

Staggering Scale of the Release

US Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche confirmed that "several hundred thousand" documents would be released on Friday night. However, he stated that the need to protect the identities and privacy of Epstein's victims means that thousands more pages will be made public over the coming weeks. The files will not be released in their entirety before the legal deadline.

The publication was mandated by legislation signed into law last month by US President Donald Trump, who had previously characterised the Epstein case as a "Democrat hoax".

The Epstein Case: A Timeline

Jeffrey Epstein was awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges when he was found dead in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan, New York, in August 2019. His death was officially ruled a suicide by the medical examiner.

The ongoing release of documents related to his network and associates is one of the most anticipated developments in a case that has captivated global attention for years. The public and media are scrutinising the files for further insights into Epstein's powerful connections.

This remains a breaking news story. Further updates are expected as the Department of Justice continues its phased publication of the extensive Epstein files in the days and weeks ahead.
