Fergie Extended Invitation to Epstein for Andrew's Milestone Celebration
Damning documents released within the extensive Jeffrey Epstein files have revealed that Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York, personally invited the convicted sex offender to Prince Andrew's intimate 50th birthday celebration. This invitation was extended merely months after Epstein's release from prison for child sex offences, raising significant questions about the royal circle's associations.
Invitation Sent on Behalf of the York Family
The invitation, sent in February 2010, was issued on behalf of Sarah Ferguson and her daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie. It explicitly requested Epstein's presence at the milestone event scheduled for February 26th, 2010, at St. James's Palace in London. The tone of the invitation was notably casual and familiar, reading in part: "Beatrice, Eugenie and I would love to invite you to celebrate the 50 years of Papa/Andrew... It will be suits and cocktail dresses, and you know me, mysterious mischief. so bring your presents. your presence and your humour!"
Despite this personal summons, Epstein ultimately declined the invitation, confirming he was "not able" to attend the lavish party that Ferguson had spent months organising. The official guest list for this private celebration was never made public, adding to the secrecy surrounding the event.
Close Ties Following Prison Release
The context of this invitation is particularly troubling. Jeffrey Epstein had been released from prison in September 2009 after serving time for soliciting prostitution of a minor. Astonishingly, reports indicate that Sarah Ferguson and her daughters visited Epstein in Florida just five days after his release, demonstrating an exceptionally close relationship that persisted despite his criminal convictions.
While Epstein did not attend Andrew's 50th birthday, he had previously been a guest at the Duke of York's 40th birthday celebration a decade earlier at Windsor Castle, an event that also included Ghislaine Maxwell among its attendees.
Revelations from Millions of Released Documents
These latest revelations emerged from over three million documents published by the US Department of Justice last Friday as part of the ongoing investigation into the disgraced financier. The files contain numerous exchanges referencing "Sarah" with a redacted email address, along with discussions concerning "Fergie" and her daughters Beatrice and Eugenie.
Among the most shocking communications is an email where Sarah Ferguson refers to Epstein as a "legend" and jokingly suggests she should marry him. Another message appears to show Ferguson making a crude reference about her daughter Eugenie being on a weekend away. Disturbingly, it also emerged that Prince Andrew sent photographs of his daughters to Epstein.
Mysterious Reference to Epstein's Alleged Child
Further documents reveal that in September 2011, Sarah Ferguson congratulated Epstein on the arrival of his "baby boy," introducing yet another mystery into their correspondence. In a note sent after the sex offender's release from jail for soliciting sex from teenagers as young as 14, Ferguson wrote: "Don't know if you're still on this bbm [BlackBerry Messenger] but have heard from The Duke that you have had a baby boy... Even though you never kept in touch, I am still here with love, friendship and congratulations on your baby boy."
This message is particularly puzzling as Epstein never publicly acknowledged having any biological children during his lifetime. The email was signed "Sarah x," indicating Ferguson was keen to maintain their connection despite Epstein having allegedly cut off contact.
Separate Royal Celebration and Ongoing Denials
It should be noted that a separate birthday celebration for Prince Andrew was organised by his parents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, at Buckingham Palace. This event was held closer to his actual 50th birthday and represented the official royal recognition of the milestone.
Throughout the numerous allegations and document releases, Prince Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing regarding claims of sexual misconduct. However, these latest revelations about his former wife's continued association with Epstein following his prison release for child sex offences present yet another layer of complexity to the ongoing scandal surrounding the British royal family's connections to the convicted financier.
