Morrisons 3,000-Calorie Breakfast Review: Value but Hard Eggs Disappoint
Morrisons Big Daddy Breakfast: Value but Hard Eggs Let It Down

A woman who sampled Morrisons' 3,000-calorie Big Daddy Breakfast says the meal offers excellent value for money, but one flaw—hard egg yolks—prevented it from scoring a perfect 10.

What Was on the Plate?

The Big Daddy Breakfast, reintroduced ahead of Father's Day on 21 June, contains 23 items totalling 3,002 calories and costs £12. The platter includes three slices of toast, four hash browns, four sausages, mushrooms, beans, three slices of black pudding, three fried eggs, and four rashers of bacon. The woman, posting on TikTok under the UK's Newest Foods account, also ordered three slices of fried bread for an extra 75p, adding 221 calories.

The Verdict: Value vs. Texture

In the video, she said: "Come with me to try the 3,000-calorie, 23-item fry-up from Morrisons. It's called the Big Daddy Breakfast and it'll set you back £12. First of all, do you think I'm going to finish it? Second of all, do you think it's going to be worth it?" She noted: "First up, the eggs are hard, and I hate a hard egg on a breakfast. Everything tasted fine. I mean, it's a big, greasy fry-up, but I think for the price of £12, it's definitely, definitely worth it. You could split this between two people, or you could have it all to yourself if you really wanted to."

Leftovers and Social Media Reaction

The woman admitted she could not finish the entire breakfast and was seen leaving the café with a bag of leftovers. Commenters on her post praised the value, with one saying: "£12 is a very good price." Another wrote: "Wow, that looks amazing! Fantastic value." A third observed: "Mega value, can't eat for another two days after that though."

Calorie Comparison

The Big Daddy Breakfast's 3,002 calories substantially exceed the NHS recommended daily intake of 2,500 calories for men and 2,000 for women. Individual requirements vary by age, height, weight, and activity levels.
