Aldi has announced a significant round of store improvements set to take place across 25 locations in the United Kingdom this summer. The upgrades are designed to enhance the shopping experience, with changes including more spacious layouts and the introduction of sustainable features such as energy-efficient fridge doors.
Store Enhancements
The improvements will vary by location, but many stores will see upgrades to their bakery, health and beauty, and fresh food sections. Specific stores in York, Liverpool, and Yarm are scheduled for extensions to provide wider aisles and a more spacious shopping environment.
These enhancements are part of a broader £300 million investment into existing stores, alongside a separate £370 million commitment to opening new stores nationwide.

Recent Price Cuts
The announcement follows Aldi's recent round of price reductions on over 200 products last week. Discounts have been applied to everyday items spanning fresh and frozen food, cupboard staples, household essentials, and personal care products.
Notable reductions include 50p off selected fresh British beef steaks, such as the 30 Day Matured British Rump Steak (now £4.69), 30 Day Matured British Sirloin Steak (now £5.99), and 28 Day Matured British Fillet Steak (now £6.79). Additionally, Aldi has lowered prices on its Gianni Ice Cream Lollies and Watermelon Fruit Lollies, both reduced from £1.99 to £1.79, along with Ice Cream Cookies now priced at £1.95.
So far this year, Aldi has invested over £200 million in price cuts, including £60 million introduced this week. However, customers are advised to continue shopping around for the best deals, as a reduction does not guarantee the lowest price available.
