M&S £40 Trainers Hailed as 'Comfiest Imaginable', Rival Skechers

Marks and Spencer shoppers have praised the retailer's Knitted Slip On Trainers, priced at £40, describing them as the 'comfiest trainers imaginable' and comparing them to high-end brand Skechers. The trainers have garnered an average rating of 4.5 out of five stars from hundreds of reviews.

Available in three colour schemes – all-black, black and white, and navy and white – the trainers come in 11 sizes, including half-sizes. They feature M&S's Freshfeet technology, which is antibacterial and prevents odour, as well as Insolia Flex technology designed to enhance comfort by supporting the natural movement of the foot.

Customers have left glowing reviews, with one shopper, Ollie, stating: 'These are the most comfortable trainers/shoes ever.' Lynda commented: 'Got the grey ones last year. Now have the black ones as well. They are the comfiest trainers imaginable. Price is very reasonable too.' Another reviewer said: 'They are so comfortable and light on your feet, they are brilliant.'

Several reviewers drew direct comparisons to Skechers, noting similar comfort at a lower price. Ger wrote: 'These are just as comfortable as Sketchers and a bit cheaper.' Dawn added: 'Excellent fit and exactly like sketchers but half the price. I bought two pairs.'

However, not all feedback was positive. One customer found the trainers 'far too tight', while Fozia said the arch of the foot hurt. Gilbee noted: 'Obviously, they are not Sketchers, who are the true slip-ins. You need a shoe horn for these! Otherwise, they're ok.'

Despite some criticism, the majority of reviews remain favourable, with many customers praising the trainers' comfort and value. The Knitted Slip On Trainers are part of the M&S Collection, described as wearable essentials blending classic style with modern allure, and are vegan-friendly.
