Liverpool fashion brand Tribal Society has teased a new store location at Edge Lane Retail Park, following a giveaway event that drew hundreds of shoppers. The brand, known for its premium menswear and kidswear, including handmade jeans and exclusive TTECH graphic prints, has built a loyal following through surprise drops that consistently cause large queues across the city.
Teaser Campaign and Event
On June 27, Tribal Society posted a video on Instagram showing a man peering through a small hole in posters covering a retail unit at Edge Lane. The posters read "Don't look!" and the caption asked, "What's going on here?" The same day, the brand held the final stop of its Tennner Tee Tour at that location, giving away 100 free t-shirts. The event was described as "the biggest announcement in Tribal Society history," with queues forming across the retail park.
While the brand has not officially confirmed a permanent store, it responded to online speculation with raised-hands emojis, hinting at a new outlet in Edge Lane.
History of Massive Queues
Tribal Society, founded by Adam Cummings from Old Swan in 2018, aimed to fill a gap in the market for stylish yet affordable menswear. The brand has since become a fixture at The Metquarter in Liverpool, a Chester store, and online. Its surprise drops often bring the city to a standstill. In 2024, fans queued outside Clayton Square, and in 2023, Williamson Square saw similar scenes. During the 2024 Black Friday drop, hundreds queued outside McDonald’s in Liverpool ONE, known as "Holy Corner," for a free item.
The brand prides itself on "affordable luxury," offering jeans, hoodies, t-shirts, and accessories. The team has a history of such giveaways, which fuel demand and brand loyalty.
Future Plans
The teaser suggests Tribal Society is expanding its physical footprint. Edge Lane Retail Park, a busy shopping area, would be a strategic location. The brand has not yet announced an opening date, but the event and social media activity indicate a permanent store is likely on the way.
