Arsenal are on the verge of completing two significant deals that will shape their summer transfer window. The Gunners have reportedly agreed personal terms with France international Manu Kone, while Leandro Trossard's agent is heading to Istanbul for decisive talks with Besiktas.
Manu Kone Personal Terms 'Settled'
According to Corriere della Sera, as reported by the Mirror, Arsenal have not only held discussions with Manu Kone's representatives but have already finalised personal terms with the player. This leaves only a transfer fee agreement with Roma to secure the midfielder. Kone, currently at the World Cup with France, has started three of their five matches, including full 90-minute performances against Norway and Iraq in the group stage and a dominant display in the last-16 victory over Paraguay.
Roma value the 25-year-old at approximately £43m, a fee Arsenal are comfortable meeting. Kone has three years remaining on his contract signed in 2024. Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira has recommended the midfielder, who would address Arteta's stretched midfield options following injuries to Mikel Merino and Martin Odegaard last season.
Leandro Trossard's Exit Nears Completion
Leandro Trossard's agents are preparing to travel to Istanbul for crucial negotiations with Besiktas, according to Turkish newspaper Sabah. The Belgian winger has been linked with the Turkish side for months, and reports suggest Arsenal have agreed a package worth around £15.5m for his transfer, slightly below the previously anticipated £17m fee.
Trossard's agent and lawyer were reportedly in London earlier this week to finalise matters with Arsenal, though it remains unconfirmed whether the player has agreed personal terms with Besiktas. Earlier this summer, Turkish reports indicated Besiktas fell short of Trossard's wage demands, after he was offered an annual salary of approximately £8.3m (£160,000 per week) by Saudi club Diriyah.
