Round of 16 vs Mexico or Ecuador
If England advance, they will likely face co-hosts Mexico at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on Monday, July 6, at 1am UK time. Mexico are expected to beat Ecuador, but Ecuador impressed with a 2-1 win over Germany to finish third in Group E. Ecuador conceded only five goals in qualifying and have a strong defence. Final vs Spain
Spain, tournament favourites, are on the other side of the draw. They could face France in the semi-finals. Spain beat England in the Euro 2024 final two years ago, ending Gareth Southgate's tenure. Tuchel may have a chance for revenge in the final on Sunday, July 19, at 8pm UK time in New Jersey.
