A major incident has been declared following a serious bus crash in west Wales. The collision occurred on Tuesday afternoon on a roundabout on the A484 on the outskirts of Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire. According to reports, the bus flipped onto its side, leaving at least 26 people injured.

Emergency services responded swiftly, with two Wales air ambulance helicopters, ground paramedics, and police officers attending the scene. The road between the Kidwelly roundabout and Llandyfaelog has been closed until further notice as investigations continue.

Dyfed-Powys police confirmed the incident and urged the public to avoid the area. Nia Griffith, the MP for Llanelli, which includes Kidwelly, expressed her concern: “My immediate thoughts are with all those people who were involved in the crash, and the emergency services who are helping them.” She reiterated the official request for the public to stay away and find alternative routes to the Parc y Bocs roundabout to Llandyfaelog Road.
