A British tourist was dragged into a van and sexually assaulted while on holiday in Mallorca, with Spanish police now investigating the incident.
Attack in early hours
The woman was attacked in the early hours of May 10 as she walked back to her hotel in Palma, the island's capital. According to police, a van driver pulled up alongside her, grabbed her arm, and forced her into the vehicle, where the assault took place.
Arrest made
National Police officers have arrested a man on suspicion of sexual assault after he allegedly groped the victim. The Family and Women's Care Unit (UFAM) of the National Police launched an investigation following the woman's complaint.
The victim stated that she left a leisure establishment in the Paseo Marítimo area of Palma and was assaulted during her walk back to her hotel.
