Man Charged with Threatening Prince Andrew Near Sandringham

A man is due to appear in court charged with threatening Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor near his new home on the Sandringham Estate. The alleged incident occurred in Wolferton, close to his Marsh Farm property, while Andrew was walking his dogs shortly after 7.30pm, according to The Telegraph.

Alex Jenkinson, 39, of Stowmarket in Suffolk, has been charged with two counts of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to harass someone or cause alarm or distress, Norfolk Constabulary said on Thursday night. He has also been charged with failing to provide a specimen of blood in custody.

Jenkinson is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday. Officers said they had responded to a report that a man was behaving “in an intimidating manner in the village”. He was arrested and questioned in King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre.

The charges come amid ongoing investigations into Andrew’s links to Jeffrey Epstein. In April, the Crown Prosecution Service said prosecutors were “providing early investigative advice” to the police. Andrew was arrested in March on suspicion of misconduct in public office over his connections with the paedophile financier and later released under investigation.

Andrew, the former Duke of York, has denied any wrongdoing over his Epstein links. He paid Virginia Giuffre millions of pounds to settle a civil suit in 2022 after she alleged she was trafficked to him. The King officially stripped him of his HRH style and prince title in late 2025.
