An investigation has been launched after a man died on a residential street in Beddau following a medical episode in the early hours of Friday morning. Police and paramedics were called to Moorland Crescent at 1am on June 26, and the man was declared dead at the scene.
Possible Link to Disturbance
South Wales Police are investigating whether the death is linked to an earlier disturbance in the village involving a group of men. The exact cause of death has not yet been confirmed, but it is not thought to involve a knife incident, according to Wales Online.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: "South Wales Police was called to an address on Moorland Crescent in Beddau at 1:00am this morning (Friday June 26) to reports of a man having a medical episode. Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the man was declared deceased at the scene. Investigations into the cause of the death are ongoing. We are continuing to investigate whether there is any link to a disturbance earlier in the evening involving a group of men in the Beddau area."
Local Reactions
A local resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said he was woken at around 1am by loud shouting and arguing outside his house at the junction between Centenary Court and Moorland Crescent. A bunch of flowers has been left at the scene as a tribute to the deceased.
Police officers remained at the scene on Friday afternoon as inquiries continue. The community is urged to come forward with any information that may assist the investigation.
