Jill Biden's Ex-Husband Omitted from Wife's Obituary After Her Death in Domestic Dispute
Jill Biden's ex-husband omitted from wife's obituary

The second wife of Jill Biden's former husband has been excluded from her official obituary, following her death last month after a reported domestic disturbance at the couple's home.

Details of the Tragic Incident

Linda Stevenson, 64, was pronounced dead at her residence on Idlewood Road in Wilmington, Delaware, on December 28. Police and emergency services were called to the three-bedroom home in the Oak Hill neighbourhood around 11:16pm after reports of a domestic dispute on the 1300 block.

Officers discovered Linda unresponsive in the living room and performed life-saving measures. Sadly, she did not survive and was declared dead at the scene. The New Castle County Police have confirmed that detectives from the criminal investigations unit are still actively probing the circumstances, and an official cause of death remains unknown.

A Notable Omission and Family Ties

Her published online obituary states she "passed away unexpectedly" and celebrates her life, mentioning her daughter Christina Vettori, her granddaughter Ciara, her love for the Philadelphia Eagles, and her bookkeeping business. It describes her as "tenacious, kind-hearted, and fiercely loyal."

Conspicuously absent is any reference to her husband, Bill Stevenson, 77, or to their marriage. Bill Stevenson was married to Jill Jacobs, now First Lady Jill Biden, between 1970 and 1975. He previously told the Daily Mail that he and Jill worked on Joe Biden's first Senate campaign and that he first suspected an affair between Jill and Joe Biden in August 1974.

Ongoing Investigation and Family Statements

Bill Stevenson has not been arrested or charged in connection with his wife's death. However, the case is being treated seriously. Audio from the initial 911 call reportedly mentioned a cardiac arrest.

Linda's daughter, Christina Vettori, has previously claimed to media that her mother's death is being investigated as a homicide, insisting to the Daily Mail that "it's still a murder investigation." This contrasts with the police's current classification of the case as a "death investigation."

The Daily Mail has approached both Christina Vettori and Bill Stevenson for further comment regarding the obituary's contents. The investigation by New Castle County detectives continues as they work to determine the precise events leading to Linda Stevenson's tragic death.
