The meat was placed on a glass door at the mosque located on Cheltenham Road, Bristol, while Friday prayers were taking place, causing significant alarm within the local community.

We promptly attended the scene upon receiving the report and we are continuing to engage with mosque leaders throughout Ramadan following this appalling incident, and we will continue to offer our support and assurance.'

The individual is described as having a bald head and was seen wearing hi-vis trousers along with a dark jacket at the time of the incident.
