Charlie Kirk Murder Suspect Bragged About Wordle Score Before Shooting
Kirk Suspect's Wordle Chat Before Alleged Murder

A university student accused of murdering a prominent right-wing activist in the United States exchanged messages about his daily Wordle puzzle score less than an hour before the alleged attack, newly revealed court documents show.

Details of the Alleged Attack and Arrest

Tyler Robinson has been formally charged with the aggravated murder of MAGA influencer Charlie Kirk. The fatal shooting occurred on the campus of Utah Valley University on September 10.

Prosecutors state that Robinson made his first in-person court appearance last week. During the hearing, he was seen smiling at family members who were present in the courtroom.

The Chilling Online Messages

Evidence submitted by the prosecution includes a series of online messages that paint a startling picture of the moments surrounding the killing. According to these records, Robinson was discussing his performance in the popular word game Wordle with a friend roughly an hour before Charlie Kirk was shot.

Approximately 80 minutes after the alleged shooting, Robinson is said to have messaged the same friend again. In this follow-up communication, he asked if they had seen the news.

Further messages, allegedly written by Robinson and cited by prosecutors, provide a potential motive. They include the statement: "I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can't be negotiated out." This followed complaints from Robinson's transgender roommate about anti-trans sentiment and right-wing politicians, which prosecutors suggest included Kirk's commentary.

Portrait of the Accused

Friends and former colleagues of Tyler Robinson have described him to investigators as an avid gamer and a straight-A student. They characterised his personality as "funny but awkward."

Those who knew him also said he had expressed significant disillusionment with both the Republican and Democratic political parties in the US, indicating a broader sense of political alienation.

The case continues to develop as legal proceedings move forward, highlighting the intense political divisions and the tragic consequences they can sometimes foster.
