Melania Movie Poster Vandalised with Hitler Moustache in Los Angeles
Melania Poster Vandalised with Hitler Moustache in LA

A brazen act of vandalism targeting a promotional poster for a documentary about Melania Trump has been captured on camera at a bus stop in Los Angeles. The incident, which has ignited a fierce online debate, involved a well-dressed woman drawing a Hitler-style toothbrush moustache on a monochrome image of the former First Lady.

Caught in the Act: The Vandalism Incident

The unidentified woman, sporting a blonde pixie cut, blue jeans, a white blouse, and sunglasses, was filmed smiling as she turned away from the defaced poster. Her striking resemblance to actress Cynthia Nixon, known for her far-left political views, has added a layer of celebrity intrigue to the event. This act occurred just days after Los Angeles Metro officials were compelled to relocate buses carrying the documentary's advertisements to protect them from similar offensive vandalism that has been proliferating across area bus stops.

Social Media Erupts with Mixed Reactions

The video rapidly circulated on social media platforms, eliciting strong and polarised reactions. Supporters of the MAGA movement condemned the woman's actions, with users on X describing her as 'low-class' and a 'nasty liberal woman,' while calling for her immediate arrest. One commentator asserted, 'They’re just proving that they will never be as classy and intelligent as Melania.' Others criticised the vandalism as 'hateful' and 'jealous,' with one man stating, 'Vandalism isn’t activism. It’s toddler politics. If you hate the message, make a better one.'

Conversely, some online liberals praised the behaviour out of spite for former President Donald Trump and Melania Trump. The original poster of the video, who has since removed it, captioned it with a red heart emoji and the words, 'Who's this diva.' Another user insinuated a Nazi connection, writing, 'She was just adding what the marketers forgot to add to the poster. I’m not sure what the issue is here.'

A Pattern of Defacement Across Los Angeles

This is not an isolated incident. Since the posters were installed three weeks ago, bus and transit stops throughout Los Angeles featuring Melania Trump have been repeatedly vandalised. Other acts of graffiti have included drawing devil horns on her image and writing sentiments linking her and her husband to the late sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. In one particularly egregious example, a vandal replaced Melania's name with 'Eva Braun,' the wife of Adolf Hitler, alongside a toothpaste moustache.

LA Metro confirmed to local news outlet KTLA that several buses carrying the advertisement for the documentary, which chronicles the 20 days leading up to Trump's second inauguration, had been relocated to areas less prone to graffiti. Officials emphasised that the buses remain in regular service despite these protective measures.

Broader Activist Campaign Against the Film

The vandalism extends beyond bus stops. The famously anti-Trump activist art group, Indecline, defaced a massive billboard for the film in Culver City. They spray-painted the image to make it appear as though Melania was using the restroom on top of an American flag. A spokesperson for the group told Rolling Stone magazine, 'We’re calling it "Melania Gives a Shit About America?" That’s the working title of the campaign.' On Instagram, Indecline posted, 'We hope that this small gesture, from our movement, to hers, is as effective and inspirational as her husband’s homicidal immigration policies.'

The Daily Mail has reached out to both LA Metro and Indecline for further comment on these ongoing incidents. The documentary itself debuted in Washington D.C. recently, but its promotional campaign in Los Angeles has been overshadowed by this wave of politically charged vandalism, highlighting deep societal divisions.
