Police have named the victim of a murder investigation in Swindon as 55-year-old Sarah Forrester, a mental health counsellor. She was found unresponsive at a home in Moredon on Friday evening and was declared dead at the scene.

A 13-year-old girl arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on bail. Wiltshire Police have confirmed they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death.

Detective Chief Inspector Guy Elkins said: 'Our thoughts are with Sarah’s friends and family at this awful time. An investigation into her death is being led by our major crime investigation team and local residents will continue to see increased policing activity in the area.'

Ms Forrester worked for the Swindon-based mental health charity the Kelly Foundation. In a statement, the charity said: 'We are heartbroken at the sudden loss of our lovely Sarah. She was completely committed to the charity and devoted to her two young children.'

The foundation was set up in memory of BBC Radio Wiltshire presenter Kelly Jobanputra, who took her own life in 2019.
