A body has been found in the search for a man who went missing while hiking in the Scottish Highlands.
The family of 36-year-old Adam Chalmers, who was reported missing in the Ben Lawers mountain range, have been informed after the body was recovered in the An Stac area at around 1.25pm on Sunday.
Adam's family expressed their gratitude to Police Scotland, Tayside Mountain Rescue, RAF Mountain Rescue, and all other agencies involved in the search efforts.
Mr Chalmers was last heard from at 12.40pm on Saturday in the Ben Lawers mountain range. He had planned to climb the Meall Greigh, Meall Garbh, and An Stuc munros, and in his final message he indicated he had one peak left to complete.
Search Operation
A major search operation was launched following his disappearance, involving multiple rescue teams and police. The body was discovered in the An Stac area, a remote and rugged part of the range.
Police have not released the cause of death, but investigations are ongoing. The area is known for its challenging terrain and unpredictable weather conditions, which can pose risks even for experienced climbers.
The recovery brings closure to a distressing few days for the family and friends of Adam Chalmers, who have requested privacy at this difficult time.
