Boys Accused of Laughing and Filming During Alleged Rapes

Three teenage boys are currently standing trial at Southampton Crown Court over two separate alleged rape incidents that occurred in the Hampshire town of Fordingbridge. The court has heard disturbing allegations that two of the defendants were "laughing and filming" as they attacked a "petrified" girl during one of the incidents.

Details of the Alleged Incidents

The trial involves three boys accused in connection with the rape of two girls in two distinct incidents that took place in Fordingbridge. The first alleged attack occurred in November 2024, while the second incident happened in January 2025.

Charges Against the Defendants

Two of the defendants, both now aged 15, face four counts of rape each against the complainant in the first alleged attack from November 2024. In the second incident from January 2025, the first defendant faces two additional counts of rape, while the second defendant faces four more counts of rape against the second complainant.

A third boy, who is now 14 but was 13 at the time of the alleged incidents, faces two counts of rape in the second incident. He is accused of aiding and abetting the second defendant during the January 2025 attack.

Additional Serious Charges

The first defendant also faces additional serious charges beyond the rape allegations. He has been charged with taking three indecent photographs of the girl involved in the January 2025 incident, adding to the gravity of the accusations presented in court.

The prosecution has presented evidence suggesting a pattern of disturbing behavior during the alleged attacks, with particular emphasis on the defendants' alleged conduct during the incidents. The court continues to hear evidence in what has been described as a particularly distressing case involving vulnerable young victims.
