A 26-year-old British tourist has been found dead at a rented property in Santa Margalida, Mallorca, with glass from a door embedded in his head. Spanish police, the Civil Guard, have launched an investigation into the incident.
The body was discovered at around 7:30 am local time. Police have interviewed four men and two women who were present at the property. No arrests have been made, and the nationalities of the other individuals have not been disclosed.
A police source indicated that the initial theory is a tragic accident, possibly involving the victim hitting his head against a glass door. However, the investigation is ongoing, and an autopsy is scheduled to take place in Palma.
This incident follows another tragedy involving a British man on the Costa del Sol. The 25-year-old's body was found on Huelin Beach in Malaga after he went missing while swimming. Police have confirmed his death is not being treated as suspicious.
