Cardiff Petrol Station and Road Closed After Police Incident

Emergency services are at the scene of an incident at a petrol station in Cardiff, leading to road closures and disruption for motorists. Police shut the Esso petrol station and part of Cathedral Road in Pontcanna at around 4am on Wednesday.

The area remains closed, and police are urging the public to find alternative routes for their journeys, as the area is expected to be closed for some time. A South Wales Police spokesperson said: "We are at the scene of an incident at the ESSO petrol station on Cathedral Road in Pontcanna, Cardiff. The petrol station is currently closed and it is expected to remain closed for some time. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. Delays are expected in the area."
