A serious incident at Cardiff Gate services near junction 30 of the M4 has left three people in hospital, including an eight-year-old child. The crash occurred at approximately 11:45 am today, prompting an immediate response from emergency services.
Details of the Incident
According to South Wales Police, a car collided with pedestrians before crashing into a retail premises within the service station. The three individuals hospitalised are an eight-year-old child and a 39-year-old man, who were both pedestrians, and a 76-year-old woman who was driving the vehicle. Authorities have confirmed that none of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

South Wales Police issued a statement saying: "We are currently dealing with an incident at the Cardiff Gate Services. It is understood a car collided with a retail premises on the site. Three people have been taken to hospital... An investigation into the incident is underway." Witnesses at the scene reported seeing the car strike a group of people before coming to a halt.
