Police Rush to Scene After Midnight Call

South Yorkshire Police were alerted to the violent incident at 11.27pm on 25 December. Officers raced to Wilfred Drive in the Darnall area of the city following reports that a man had been seriously injured.

Upon arrival, they discovered a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his chest. Emergency services provided immediate medical attention at the scene before the victim was transported to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

Four Suspects Detained on Serious Charges

In a swift police response, four men were subsequently arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. The suspects are currently being questioned by detectives as the investigation into the shocking Christmas night violence continues.
