Teenager Detained Following Woman's Death
A 13-year-old schoolgirl has been taken into police custody on suspicion of murder following the death of a woman at a property in Swindon. The incident occurred on Friday evening in the Moredon area, sending shockwaves through the local community.

Wiltshire Police were called to Baydon Close at approximately 7pm following reports of a disorder. Upon arrival, officers discovered a woman in her 50s who was not breathing. Despite the efforts of emergency services, she was declared dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed the woman had no other reported injuries visible at the time.
Detective Inspector Darren Ambrose, from the Major Crime Investigation Team, stated: "This is a serious incident in which a woman has sadly died." He confirmed that the victim's next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.

The teenage suspect was arrested at the scene and remains in police custody for questioning. Police have established a cordon around the address while forensic examinations and other investigative work are carried out.
