Armed police officers swarmed a residential street in Huddersfield following a targeted drive-by shooting that has left a man with life-changing injuries.
Shooting on Luck Lane
The incident occurred on Luck Lane in the Paddock area of Huddersfield at approximately 7:28pm on Tuesday, December 23. Police were alerted to reports of a man being shot.
Upon arrival, armed officers discovered a man with a serious leg wound. He was promptly taken to hospital for emergency treatment.
Vehicle Flees Scene as Manhunt Launched
Witnesses at the scene reported seeing a dark-coloured vehicle driving away from Luck Lane moments after the shots were fired. Detectives from the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team are treating the attack as targeted.
As of Wednesday morning, no arrests have been made and a manhunt for the shooter is actively underway. A significant police cordon remains in place on Luck Lane as forensic examinations continue.

West Yorkshire Police have confirmed the victim's injuries, caused by a firearm discharge, are serious and believed to be life-changing.
