Judge Rejects Bid to Block Trump's White House UFC Bash

A US federal judge refused on Friday to stop the White House from staging a UFC event on the building's South Lawn this weekend to celebrate both the nation's 250th anniversary and Donald Trump's 80th birthday.

District Judge Amit Mehta's ruled against two Virginia residents who filed a lawsuit against the President on June 6, arguing the decision to use the White House lawn as the venue for Sunday's planned UFC mixed martial arts event did not overstep the Trump administration's authority.
