Residents in the Leicestershire village of Newbold Verdon have reported a shooting incident in which gunshots were fired into a car and a property. The incident occurred on Brascote Lane at approximately 10:29 PM on Tuesday evening, June 9.

Police Response and Cordon

Leicestershire Police have established a cordon in the area, leading to the closure of Brascote Lane to both motorists and pedestrians. Residents are being escorted through the cordon while investigations are underway.

Witness Accounts

According to a local man, three gunshots were heard. He claimed that two shots were allegedly fired into a car and one through the front door of a property. The man stated that the incident is causing “a lot of alarm” within the community but that there are “no injuries as far as I’m aware.”
