M25 Blocked After Serious Crash in Kent

The M25 in Kent is experiencing severe gridlock this morning following a serious crash. The motorway is blocked clockwise between junction 5 (Sevenoaks) and junction 6 (Godstone) after what National Highways has described as a 'traffic incident'.

Emergency Response

Emergency crews have rushed to the scene, and drivers are being warned to expect delays of up to 30 minutes, with three miles of congestion building on the approach. Motorway camera images show traffic at a complete standstill, while other footage appears to show a large lorry crashed into a roadside barrier, with debris scattered across the carriageway.

National Highways South West posted on social media: 'The #M25 in #Kent is blocked clockwise between J5 #Sevenoaks & J6 #Godstone following a traffic incident. Our traffic officers and the Emergency services are on scene. Current delays of 30 minutes and 3 miles of congestion on approach.'
