Chinese Heiress Charged with Bail Breach After $1.5m Rolls-Royce Crash
Mystery Heiress Faces New Charges Over Sydney Crash

A mysterious Chinese heiress, charged over a high-profile crash involving her $1.5 million Rolls-Royce, is now facing allegations of breaching her bail conditions by failing to reside at her registered Sydney address.

Fresh Charges and a Bail Breach Probe

LanLan Yang, 23, was issued a court attendance notice by New South Wales Police last Friday for allegedly not living at the luxury Watsons Bay penthouse she provided as her bail address. Police attended a city residence around 2.30pm to serve the notice. This development follows the Daily Mail's revelation that the harbourside property had been empty for some time, prompting Yang to seek a variation of her bail.

In addition to the bail breach, Yang has been hit with fresh drink-driving charges related to the collision in Sydney's eastern suburbs on July 26. The crash left radio personality Kyle Sandilands's regular chauffeur, George Plassaras, with catastrophic injuries. The new charges include dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm while under the influence and driving with a mid-range prescribed concentration of alcohol.

A Bizarre Identity Mystery Unfolds

The case took a strange turn last Wednesday at Rose Bay police station. A young Asian woman, reporting on bail as LanLan Yang, presented herself to officers. When approached by the Daily Mail outside the station—dressed in Chanel—she claimed, "I'm someone else." This encounter triggered a separate police investigation into the woman's identity and whether Yang was complying with her bail.

As part of her original bail conditions, granted after the crash six months ago, Yang was required to live at the Watsons Bay apartment and surrender her passport. However, she was not prohibited from approaching airports or international departure points. Her lawyer, Michael Korn, has been contacted for comment regarding the bail reporting incident and his client's current location.

A Trail of Luxury Cars and Secrecy

Yang has cultivated an aura of secrecy since her arrest. She has never appeared in person for her four court mentions and has only been photographed once without a face mask by the media. She is routinely shuttled around in a white Toyota Vellfire, escorted by a male driver when press are present.

The crash itself, which occurred around 3.20am on New South Head Road, Rose Bay, was severe. Mr. Plassaras suffered a broken spine, shattered hips, two broken femurs, and a ruptured spleen, and may never work again. Yang's Tiffany blue Rolls-Royce Cullinan allegedly ploughed into his Mercedes van.

Her unexplained wealth and elusive behaviour have sparked intense speculation, particularly among Chinese Australian communities. During a September court mention, her barrister, John Korn, revealed Yang was sent to Australia for school at age 14, is now a permanent resident, and suffers from "considerable" mental health issues.

Yang has entered not guilty pleas to four charges. Her case is next due in Sydney's Downing Centre Local Court later this month.
