Police have launched a public appeal to identify a man following a serious sexual assault at a bus stop in the heart of Nottingham.

Nottinghamshire Police have taken the significant step of releasing a CCTV image of a man they urgently wish to speak to in connection with the incident. The assault occurred at a busy city centre bus stop on Wednesday, November 27. According to investigators, the man pictured is believed to hold information crucial to their ongoing enquiries.
Sergeant Liz Johnson, of Nottinghamshire Police, emphasised the impact of the crime, stating: “This was an extremely upsetting incident for the woman involved and we are determined to track down the person responsible.” She confirmed that officers have reviewed footage capturing the aftermath of the assault and are now seeking the public's assistance.

The victim, a woman in her 50s, reported to officers that she was inappropriately touched at the bus stop. The offence is reported to have taken place at around 10.30pm, highlighting concerns over safety in public spaces after dark.
