Stormzy Fined £533 for Using Phone While Driving Ferrari

Stormzy has been fined after being caught using his mobile phone while driving his £400,000 Ferrari. The rapper, whose real name is Michael Ebenazer Owuo Junior, was pulled over by a Metropolitan Police officer near his home in Kingston upon Thames last November.

The 32-year-old admitted typing an address into his phone's map application while stationary in traffic. At Croydon Magistrates' Court, he pleaded guilty to not having proper control of his vehicle. Magistrate Lynn Keane fined him £533, plus £120 costs and a £213 victim surcharge, and added three penalty points to his licence.

Police Constable Glen Lambert said he noticed the driver was “distracted and no longer in proper control” of the black Ferrari Purosangue. In a statement, he added: “As I passed the vehicle… I noticed the driver was inputting an address on his maps application on his mobile phone.” Stormzy confirmed he had been setting a route.

This is the second time the music superstar has been penalised for a mobile phone offence. In March 2024, he was caught using a hand-held device while driving his Rolls Royce Wraith, resulting in a nine-month driving ban and a £2,010 fine in January 2025.

Stormzy was given a month to pay the total court bill of £866. His latest prosecution was dealt with under the Single Justice Procedure on May 7, in a private hearing he did not attend.
