Sydney Teen Attacker Denied Parole After Brutal 2005 Assault
Sydney Teen Attacker Denied Parole

A man who assaulted and bound a Sydney teenager before dousing her in petrol and setting her home ablaze will remain incarcerated after his parole application was rejected.

Lauren Huxley, then 18, suffered life-altering injuries, including permanent brain damage, during the attack by Robert Black Farmer, 39, at her Northmead residence in November 2005.

The victim was left in a pool of blood and petrol as Farmer ignited the family home and fled the scene.

Farmer was sentenced to over 24 years in prison in 2008 and recently sought parole. However, the NSW State Parole Authority denied his application during a closed-door session on Thursday.

Further details are expected to emerge.
