Dramatic CCTV footage has captured the moment thieves rammed a ute through the glass doors of a shopping centre in Perth's southern suburb of Baldivis and made off with an ATM. The incident occurred on Amazon Drive at approximately 2am on March 19, prompting detectives to issue an urgent appeal for information.

The footage, obtained from inside the shopping centre, shows a blue Nissan ute smashing through the glass entrance before reversing into the ATM, knocking it over. Two men dressed entirely in black quickly approached the cash machine, wrapping a thick chain around it as the driver repositioned the vehicle. The ATM was then dragged towards the exit and removed from the premises.
Constable Alex Lowe stated that detectives believe the offenders are likely local to the Baldivis area. He emphasised the serious nature of such crimes: 'Ram raids are deliberate and dangerous offences which can create significant risk to public safety including employees, security personnel and members of the public who may be in the vicinity. This behaviour will not be tolerated.'
