A 22-year-old woman remains in hospital fighting for her life after a serious collision in Fallowfield, south Manchester, Greater Manchester Police have confirmed. Emergency services were called to Moseley Road at around 11.30pm on Saturday, June 27.
Arrests and bail
Police arrested three people in connection with the incident. A man and a woman were taken into custody at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. A second man was arrested the following morning on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by disqualified driving. All three have been released on bail pending further investigations, GMP said.
The injured woman was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains in a critical condition.
Scene and investigation
Pictures from the scene showed a police cordon near The Armitage Sports Centre, with officers stationed at the cordon and a car visible in the centre of the road. Moseley Road was closed off as investigators examined the scene.
