A horrific incident unfolded in Westminster as a woman was stabbed to death in what authorities are treating as a suspected murder-suicide. Metropolitan Police were called to the scene following reports of a violent altercation.
Police Respond to Disturbance
Officers arrived at the location to find a woman with fatal stab wounds. Despite emergency efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene. A man, believed to be known to the victim, was also found with serious injuries and later died in hospital.
Community in Shock
Local residents expressed shock at the violent incident in their neighbourhood. "It's terrifying to think something like this could happen so close to home," one neighbour told reporters. Police have cordoned off the area while forensic teams conduct their investigation.
Ongoing Investigation
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police's Specialist Crime Command are leading the inquiry. While not currently seeking any other suspects, officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward with any information about the events leading up to the tragedy.
