In a social media post, the school stated: 'We are writing to provide an update following a serious incident which took place shortly after the school day today involving a student. The police and ambulance service were called and quickly arrived to provide support. The student has now been taken to hospital as a precautionary measure to be checked over.'
The spokesperson added: 'We know that this incident was witnessed by members of our school community and understand that there will be concern. Please be assured that we are treating this extremely seriously, working closely with the police and other authorities to support ongoing enquiries and ensure the necessary support is in place.'
