Hollywood actress Denise Richards is formally requesting that a Los Angeles judge reject a bid by her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, to secure half of her substantial income from the subscription platform OnlyFans. The 54-year-old star of Wild Things has cited Phypers' failure to meet crucial court deadlines as a primary reason he should be disqualified from claiming a share of her earnings.
Missed Deadlines and Financial Disputes
According to court documents reviewed by the Daily Mail, Richards states that Phypers, 53, was obligated to file an updated income and expense declaration by a recent Friday but failed to submit the required paperwork. As of the following Tuesday, he still had not provided the financial figures, a breach that Richards argues should invalidate his claim to her OnlyFans revenue.
In previous legal submissions, Phypers has asserted his belief that Richards generates between $200,000 and $300,000 per month through her content on the pay site. The ongoing divorce proceedings have yet to yield a ruling on this specific financial request. Notably, the couple was evicted from their Calabasas mansion in December due to nonpayment, adding another layer of financial strain to their separation.
Escalating Personal Accusations
The financial wrangling is set against a backdrop of increasingly bitter personal allegations exchanged publicly by both parties. Phypers initiated divorce proceedings on July 7, 2025, citing irreconcilable differences following a separation three days prior.
Richards has filed court documents alleging that Phypers repeatedly abused her during their marriage, claims which he has vehemently denied. In retaliation, Phypers has accused Richards of marital infidelity, physical assault, and destroying his personal property.
Family Matters and Fundraising Controversy
The conflict has spilled over into family life, particularly concerning Richards' youngest daughter, Eloise, 14, whom she adopted prior to marrying Phypers. Richards recently expressed outrage on Tori Spelling's Misspelling podcast after Phypers and his family launched a GoFundMe campaign that made references to Eloise amid mounting expenses.
Say whatever you want about me, which they have - I’ll deal with that after the divorce, Richards stated. But when you cross a line and bring my youngest daughter into trying to get money from strangers, it’s outrageous - that is wrong. She added that while she was not surprised by the tactic, she found it personally shocking.
Substance Abuse Allegations and Legal Denials
In a private note to family and friends later published by Page Six, Phypers called for an intervention, alleging Richards has struggled with substance abuse involving prescription medication for over two decades. He claimed she no longer eats proper meals, has passed out from substances, and has driven dangerously with their daughter Eloise in the car.
Richards' attorney, Brett Berman, has categorically denied all allegations. Berman told People magazine that Phypers has continued to harass Richards since being served with a Temporary Restraining Order, including by disseminating private information from her stolen cell phone and laptop.
A hearing concerning spousal support in this acrimonious divorce is scheduled for February 26. Richards is also mother to two older daughters, Sami, 21, and Lola, 20, from her previous relationship with Charlie Sheen.
