Katie Prince's new husband, Lee Andrews, is reportedly confronting escalating legal troubles in Dubai, with claims he is prohibited from exiting the now war-torn country. The 47-year-old former glamour model initially married the 42-year-old businessman in January after a whirlwind romance, followed by a second legal ceremony, sparking alarm among fans and family due to reports labeling Lee as a scammer.
Dubai Jail and Travel Restrictions
It is alleged that British-born Lee spent three weeks incarcerated in a Dubai jail for forging his ex-girlfriend's signature to secure a £200,000 loan in her name, resulting in a ban from leaving the United Arab Emirates. While Lee denies these accusations, he has not appeared to depart the country since meeting Katie, even as Iranian missiles struck the city, raising questions about his whereabouts.
Questionable Claims and Police Investigations
Doubts have emerged over Lee's self-proclaimed status as a millionaire, including his assertions of a PhD from Cambridge, lucrative businesses, and connections to Elon Musk. According to news reports, allegations were filed with Herefordshire Police against him, which have since been transferred to Dubai authorities.
A source disclosed to The Sun: 'The police have handed the files to the police in Dubai as Lee lives there and the allegations made against him happened in that country.' The Daily Mail has reached out to Lee Andrews' representatives for comment, but no response has been provided yet.
Ex-Girlfriend's Legal Action
Lee's ex-girlfriend, Dina, discovered his alleged fraudulent activities after receiving a call from a mortgage company, prompting her to initiate a legal case against him. Under Dubai law, individuals involved in criminal investigations, such as unpaid debts or civil lawsuits, are legally barred from leaving the country. Dina reported him to Dubai authorities, who launched an investigation, though the current stage remains unclear. Lee was subject to a travel ban during the open case, preventing his departure from Dubai.
Desperate Voice Notes and Financial Struggles
Lee Andrews has also been accused of begging a woman for money through desperate voice notes. An unnamed US-based businesswoman revealed she received a series of urgent messages from him just a week before he proposed to Katie. In these notes, Lee reportedly attempted to persuade her to send cash amounts ranging from £1,100 to £2,500 multiple times since last May, under the guise of a business opportunity.
As the woman hesitated, Lee's pleas grew increasingly desperate, with the Dubai-based 'millionaire businessman' asking for funds as recently as January. In voice notes heard by The Sun, Lee stated: 'If you can help me or send Western Union 3000 that would help me so much. I could just do with a big hug really. You don't know how desperate it's been, the last couple of months of me trying to survive.'
Lee claimed to be cash-strapped, surviving on 20 pence ready meals while awaiting payments from his business, Aura Sustainable Vehicles & Energy BVI, to clear from Kenya. Despite the business context, Lee allegedly told the woman he would 'love her' if she sent money and referred to her as 'beautiful'. When she refused, he reportedly swore at her and called her a time waster.
Multiple Allegations and Exes Speaking Out
The woman shared that Lee told her in December he had met someone special, believed to be Katie, and described him as 'so persuasive' that she nearly sent money. She is not the first to make allegations against Lee. His ex-girlfriend Alana Percival, 32, previously revealed that Lee proposed to her in a lavish manner similar to his proposal to Katie 16 weeks later.
Last week, Alana claimed that four women contacted her in the past two weeks, all alleging Lee tried to 'scam' them out of money, as reported by The Sun. She branded Lee 'embarrassing' and compared him to the Tinder Swindler, referencing the Netflix show about Israeli conman Simon Leviev, a notorious relationship scammer.
Lee has denied all previous claims, but the mounting accusations and legal scrutiny in Dubai continue to cast a shadow over his marriage to Katie Prince and his purported millionaire lifestyle.
