Former BBC DJ Tim Westwood Receives Next Court Date in Historic Sexual Offences Case
Former BBC Radio One and Capital Xtra DJ Tim Westwood, aged 68, has been scheduled for his next court appearance in December, where he will face a series of serious sexual offence charges involving seven women. The allegations against him span several decades, from the 1980s through to 2010, and include multiple counts of rape, sexual assault, and indecent assault.

Westwood is accused of four indecent assaults that allegedly occurred in London during the 1980s. Additionally, he faces three further indecent assault charges related to incidents at the BBC in the 1990s. The prosecution also alleges that he raped a woman in a hotel in 1996.
Further accusations include two indecent assaults and one count of rape from the early 2000s at a London address, as well as two counts of rape at another London location in the 2010s. In a separate incident, Westwood is alleged to have sexually assaulted a woman at a nightclub in Stroud, Gloucestershire, in 2010.
Westwood has pleaded not guilty to all charges and was excused from attending a case management hearing at Southwark Crown Court on Monday, 30 March 2026. This hearing was intended to facilitate disclosure between the prosecution and his defence team.

The former DJ is set to appear at a pre-trial review on 14 December, with his full trial scheduled to begin on 25 January 2027. Throughout the proceedings, Westwood has been granted bail under the strict condition that he does not contact any of the complainants involved in the case.
