Police in Sussex have launched a public appeal for information following a serious sexual assault on a young woman in Brighton.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, November 21, 2025. The victim, a woman in her twenties, was attacked on Canfield Road in the popular seaside city.
According to reports, the offender fled the scene on foot after being challenged. The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this time.
Sussex Police Description and Appeal
Officers have released a description of the man they wish to trace in connection with the assault. He is believed to be in his late 20s and has dark hair, styled into a quiff. A notable detail is that he was seen wearing AirPods.
Sussex Police stated: "We are asking that if you saw a man behaving suspiciously in the area on the night of the incident, or if you have any relevant information that could help, you make a report to police."
